I think the c5 is a little different because it’s drive by wire. One of the threads I linked addresses c5’s in my first post.

Or read the threads I posted above if you want to go more in depth in learning what I’ve been reading about for months now. According to them it’s not possible. I’m not a tuner. Just trying to help these guys out.

Well thats new to me cause Im running one. 3bar sensor, HPTuners has the setting built in, bada bing bada boom. Done.

I will clarify, its 3bar, SD, with real time tuning. There are different versions of segment swaps for different PCMs, with all different options.

You’re running a 3 bar map and flex fuel on a 99-02 pcm? If so I’d love to see the tuning file if you don’t mind.

Everything I’ve found so far in order to run flex fuel and a 3 bar map on our cars you have to swap to a p59 pcm.

At one point flex fuel “wasn’t possible” on our cars lol

I know you can run 2 and 3 bar on our cars without flex fuel as I’ve done it as well.

What injectors should I look at getting for E85 under 500 RWHP? Should I go with flow matched for a street car? Deatsch Werks 78lb injectors seem pretty reasonably priced.

I'm using 750cc injectors for my setup with similar power. Which is close to 75#. A little less. A good budget setup I've used is Siemens Deka also. All I've really used though is Siemens Deka, FIC and Injector Dynamics

you aren't going to see very much if any power gain from E54 to E85. But yes it's better than pump gas, well most of the time.

That kit will not work on a stock C5, unless the C5 has a different fuel pump and different injectors than an F-Body.

Why do you think that? It states:

"Vehicle Fitment
Submodel: C5
Engine: 5.7L LS1 V8
Years: 1997-2004"

No mention of it cannot be stock?

My question would be, shouldn't this work on the LS6 as well?......................LS6 kit coming soon

For an F-Body, the stock fuel pump and stock injectors will not work for E85. Since it takes more E85 to make 1HP than gas, you need a bigger pump and larger injectors.

I am assuming that the C5 vette uses the same pump and injectors as the LS1 F-Bodies.

You'll at least need this pump: https://www.texas-speed.com/p-2361-r...-assembly.aspx
And these injectors: https://www.texas-speed.com/p-248-ra...injectors.aspx

This is the fuel pump that I am thinking of using... just need to confirm that it is a direct replacement for a Walbro/racetronix 255: http://www.hawksmotorsports.com/walb...l-pump-465lph/

I could understand if you already had a modded C5, but directly from their Q&A Page:

"Do I need to replace my injectors and/or fuel pump to run E85?

We do R&D on each and every application we sell systems for and most stock vehicles do not need bigger injectors or fuel pumps to run full E85. If your vehicle requires changes to the fuel system, it will be noted on the product page. Also, depending on your vehicle’s setup (specifically if you are running an aftermarket supercharger) you may be limited to how high a blend of ethanol you can safely run. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to talk with you about your specific application and setup."

There is no mention of bigger injectors or fuel pump required to run this kit on a stock C5

Here's the note on the 03-06 W211 Mercedes E55 AMG (M113) kit:
"PLEASE NOTE: The W211 E55 AMG requires upgraded fuel pumps and injectors to safely run full E85. Fuel pumps and injectors are not included with the PROFLEX Commander kit and are sold separately. "

Note for the BMW E60 M5 & E63, E64 M6 (S85) kit:
"Please Note: Cars with a supercharger may require upgrades to the fuel pump and/or injectors to run full E85. Supercharged M5 and M6s should be dynoed or logged to ensure the fuel system is able to meet the demand of the fuel or blend customers wish to use to ensure safe engine operation."

C5 must have different pump and injectors than an F-Body then.
