Default Worth It To Upgrade To Gen. IV Truck Intake?

I'm currently running the Gen 3 truck intake-early style with EGR provision from a 2000 5.3 truck. I just came across a later truck style intake from a Gen. IV motor and it was a freebie to me.

For a low rpm/torque motor only application, is it worth it to change over from my current intake to the later style intake? The later intake is also a 4 bolt TB intake, and I'm running DBC so I will need some type of adapter, or is there another way to fix this?

Any input would be appreciated.

You will gain some torque at the least. You can run a cheap adapter for your throttle body or spend $90 on ebay ebay 4 bolt throttle body. If you go the big throttle body route, you'll want a tune.
