Hey guys! This is my first post! So I'm new to this forum stuff, but not to cars/LSX stuff! Tell me if im doing anything wrong!
Okay, I'm looking at the FiTech "Loaded" 92mm 4 bolt throttle body. It comes with the IAC and TPS for $159 from either Jegs or FiTech themselves. Anyone have any experience with this??

Hopefully it fits better than the Holley Sniper 92

What was wrong with the Sniper? Havent heard anything about them either.

re: TB

what's the feedback rating of the seller? and how long is the return period?

2001LSXZ28 07-01-2018 05:40 AM

The seller is Jegs... so no feedback rating. No ebay.... and FiTech is a pretty big name brand. Return period for Jegs is 90 days.

Flame-Thrower 07-01-2018 04:13 PM

OK. i would trust Jeg's 100%. spent a lot of money there on a previous project. good to deal with.

I trust Jegs for sure. Just havent seen anyone use a FiTech Throttlebody for an LS. I've seen them plenty on EFI conversions. I guess I can always be a test rat! Lol

The bottom of the 92 Holley needs to be ground down for it to clear the LS1 water pump.

Ahhhhhh, that sucks. Won't be using the Holley then...

sometimes you do have to mod aftermarket stuff, that's just part of it.

2001LSXZ28 07-02-2018 10:06 PM

You don't have to be a jerk. Most people running anything bigger than a stock throttle body normally do have to grind a little on the water pump.

i went and edited my post. I did sound like a jerk and didn't mean to.

It's all good man!! Yes I understand having to make aftermarket parts work!! Lol nothing on my car is original! Lol I bought it as a roller!

wannafbody 07-03-2018 04:53 PM

The Nick Williams 92 fits perfect. Sometimes it's worth spending more to save time and trouble.

2001LSXZ28 07-03-2018 04:54 PM

That's true too! I will look into it!

LilJayV10 07-03-2018 06:05 PM

Changing to a new style water pump takes care of the problem too.

2001LSXZ28 07-03-2018 09:01 PM

What new style water pump do you speak of??

It's either a LS2 or LS3 waterpump. I can't remember at the moment. Instead of having the plate that bolts on to the back of the water pump it is pressed in and doesn't have the bolts, "which as you know causes interference problems with the TB.

Did you end up with the fitech throttle body? I put on a holley sniper 92 throttle body on my 5.3 this summer and I am not pleased with it. My tuner said the tb is drawing air around the butterfly due to poor machining or the IAC port isn't machined correctly. He says its a common problem with the snipers. So im looking to replace it.

Warr throttle bodies on Ebay seem to have a decent reputation for being value priced.
