no fuel to engine, cranks won't start 2000 Camaro
 

2000 Camaro fuel issue.

No power to pump. Pump will work when auxiliary power connected but no fuel seems to be getting to engine, cranks but no start. Has spark will fire up with starter fluid. (pump has been replaced, checked relay, fuses, etc.) Prior problems before issue: Car stalled twice when coasting to traffic light. Then started right up. A few days later the reduced power light came on the car barely had any power; seemed like the fuel pump. Turned off car waited and tried to start, it did not start. On third try it fired right up and drove normally for several days. Then I drove it into the driveway and the next morning wouldn’t start; except with starting fluid.I did notice something peculiar with the gauges; normally when I turn on the ignition the gauges indicate their normal position prior to start. Now they peg to zero except for the volt gauge it reads around 11 volts. Any thoughts?

Check ALL grounds and connections. Sounds like an intermittent bad connection.

Ground to the pump must be working: when I connect an auxiliary live to the pump it turns; what keeps the gas from getting to the engine? Something must be shutting down both the pump and the fuel flow. Especially since it starts with engine starting fluid.

check for power at the injectors .try swapping relays and fuses for the pump circut .

If you are powering the pump and are sure it's running, there is nothing that keeps fuel from getting to the motor. Are you checking this with a fuel pressure gauge at the nipple on the fuel rail?

Or are you guessing fuel isn't getting to the motor because it doesn't run.

If you aren't getting power to the fuel pump you need to check and see why, it could be a common power issue that is causing other problems. Check your fp fuse, make sure it isn't blown, but ALSO make sure it has power going to it, use a test light to check the fuse with it installed and touch the exposed ends on the top of the fuse, should have power on both sides.

I've had a couple of vehicles come in where I was getting no power to the pump but had power in the fuse box, ended up finding a burned pin in the fuse box at the fuel pump relay.

Start with that and let us know.

Had it in the shop for 5 days and they checked everything and cannot find the problem.. We tried a new pump; same result. Ending up towing it to the Chevy dealer today for a diagnostic check. I will post the results.

OK, had the ECM replaced, it was faulty and caused the security system to shut down the injectors thus no fuel to the engine.

Glad to hear you got it fixed. Now to focus on paying for the huge bills lol
