So I want to punch a 4.8 out to 3.898 and keep the stock stroke. Will i need to get custom pistons or is there an off the shelf option? My concern is clearance/wrist pin location. Ive searched but the results are muddied up with 4.8 crank in 6.0 block, etc. Thanks in advance for any info.

Since the 4.8 and 5.3 use basically same piston from the factory, then pin height is the same on the 4.8 as the other engines.

We have factory style 3.898 drop in flat tops or forged pistons also. you can use them with either the 4.8 crank and rods or 5.3 crank and rods.

Plenty of options.
