Default Gas pedal choices ls 6.0

When choosing a gas pedal assembly(pedal and sensor), what should be taken into account.

Whats the difference between an OEM gas pedal assembly and lets say a performance gas pedal (if there is such a thing). Are there differences in the sensors processing times?

Use the exact one for the application. The best would be from the vehicle the engine came from.

Theres no way to get the original pedal, so ill have to get an OEM one.

Since I'm a curious individual, why's it best to use the exact one from the vehicle? does the ecm not sync up with a new sensor when its attached.

I'm finally getting to the part of my build where I'm dealing with all the sensor's and ecm and how they all interact together to make room room power …..

Also, if this isn't the section of the forums for this type of questions let me know and ill move it to the correct section.

Best regards,

double

Which vehicle did the DBW TB come from originally? Get a pedal for that vehicle. I did not mean the EXACT pedal from the vehicle it came from. A stock replacement.
And don't worry; you're in the right forum.

The engine came out of a 2005 Silverado 2500HD, that's why I was wondering if there's a difference between the truck accelerator pedal and sports car accelerator pedal.
I'm picking up what you're putting down now!

There ARE differences between pedals/sensors. Truck pedals with truck TB's and Vette/Camaro pedals with car TB's, roughly speaking.
