Default GenIII truck intake shave and port

Ok I bought a GenIII truck intake to shave and so far have everything cut off, well i had been interested in porting it while i was at it. Im not really worried about screwing it up because its not the one off my suburban but would like it to go well if possible. Now my reason for posting this is to ask how anyone is porting the inside of these, i had heard something about cutting the top open to port all the casting flash and clean up some stuff (like the back side of where the shaving will be done). Not looking for anything extreme just wanting to clean it up and hopefully make a little bit better from it. And also clean up the engine bay a little bit.

My understanding is cartridge rolls are usually used on plastic intakes.

I shaved a gen III truck intake. I used a couple different tools to accomplish the shave. A sawsall, hacksaw blade, rotary files and a cheap'O plastic welding iron.( soldering iron)
I did not port it.

That looks great jetech. I have the top cut off of mine and decided to start shaving the holes and ill do all the interior mods and shaving done before i put the top back on and smooth the outside and make it pretty.
