Default Pertronix Coils?

Anyone heard of them or used pertronix coils on their ls? I'm currently in the market for a set of coils and these caught my eye. It's just around 250 for a set, so they're way cheaper than the Delco's, but they claim to offer 10% more spark capability. I just need something that will last decently and not take a dump after 5000 miles like the msd's tend to do.

I'm running the flamethrower p/n 30821 . Had them on about 2years and 9,000 mi so far been fine for me. I figured I still have 5 good used ls1 coils left over so if one takes a crap. I'll swap it out. But theve been fine so far. I will say the black paint surrounding them has flaked off in spots but it's no big deal for me.. hope that helps.

take the stickers off and thell look just like stock.

And yes I'm OCD. I linked all coils together on a common ground then linked it to body ground post. The pass side links straight to - batt body post. Look at pic you can see it.

I would hope they ARE stock. They're better than anything out there, except maybe PanteraEFI's

Agreed! I would spend money on a good set of plugs, instead.

I sell on ebay upgrade coils kits. Coils, brackets and wire harness. They sell great. The d585 truck coils are amazing coils for the cost. I dumped my stock ls1 coils in favor of these... The outcome...
Has anyone ever bought these cars new? I chamged my plugs at about 44k miles... What a difference. 2nd gear with new ngk coppers felt like 1st with old original delco plugs... That difference plus faster start ups is what I experience from installing the d585 truck coils... Wish I had done this years ago! I have a few sets in stock if interested. If so, can go thru ebay or paypal direct.
