Default FAST LSXR 102 Intake

Is a FAST LSXR 102 on my 243 headed 6.0 worth the investment? Running the Sniper sheet metal style intake currently. Short runners.

It depends on how much you value low speed torque and where you want your power band at.

Without more details of your setup and what you are wanting to do. How can you expect anyone to give you an accurate answer at all?

Low end seems to be lacking. Hoping the longer runners on the FAST would help.

What intake did Cstraub spec that 221/223 cam to work with best?

Hooker Blackheart SST Headers - which ones are those? Hooker makes a lot of different BlackHeart headers. Are those the shorty manifolds style or intermediate length or long tube headers?

I'd imagine a Fast 102 would pick up quite a bit of power pretty much everywhere, but especially down low. My guess is that manifold wouldn't make as much power as the Fast until about 7000 rpm, and I'm no cam expert, but that doesn't seem like a high RPM cam.

Do you have a dynograph you can share with us?

My guess is between the short runner intake & mid length headers some bottom end torque is traded for more 6,800 rpm + top end potential.

No expert but the cam seems sort of small to be optimized for ~7,000 + rpm. A Mamo'd Fast 92 or 102 seems seems like better match to me.

I'd do a 92 instead of a 102 with your set up. But that's just 1 man's opinion.

My educated internet guess is you are going to make pretty much the same peak hp but a ton more low end, under curve the power. Car would be faster everywhere

IMO, that intake does not match that cam at all, especially in a 6.0.
