Default cut muffler off want to know what kind of problems would occur....

I have a 98 z28 got tired of the crappy slowmaster exhaust so i took the trusty sawzaw and cut it off right before the muffler.. I was wondering what kind of problems if any would occur... The car isnt' even that loud but the quality of sound is ten times better.. So anyways just wondering please respond if you know..

thanks

I wouldn't worry about your engine, you should be fine. No long term affects. The only things you need to worry about:
1) maybe your hearing
2) exhaust fumes getting into your car

Add a turn down and direct the exhaust down and out. OR just slap a bullet muffler on there and add a turn down. other than that I had that setup for a day or two with long tubes and ORY with no problems....other than LOUD.

No problems. I have had my exhaust unmuffled for over a year now. Let me see if I can put up a couple pics:

no bad effects should come from not having a muffler at all.
