How difficult to remove AIR and EGR? Help.

Default How difficult to remove AIR and EGR? Help.

I was looking into buying a pair of QMP stainless headers with the offroad y pipe. I figured I would also do an ls6 intake while im in there. Since the ls6 has no egr provision and emmisions is not a concern, how difficult is it to remove the AIR and EGR systems from the car? Will it still run right without them? Throw any codes? ANy help would would be appreciated

Will throw codes, but easy to pull off.

Just unplug and unbolt them. You will need block off plates on your headers/manifolds. You will get an SES light but it won't effect how the car runs.

Yeah it will throw an ses light but that is real easy to take off. You will need to buy some block off plates or make your own like I did. I just cut off the ends of the old pieces and filled in the hole. But all in all its real easy to do and it makes the engine bay look a hell of a lot cleaner looking. Good luck

Thanks alot for the help guys. That website helps alot. One more quick question, once these codes are thrown, I was thinking of a professional tune anyhow, can they prevent the SES light from coming on for both modifications?
