Need Advice Please Help Me!!! (long)
Five months ago I ordered a Grotty style header system that also contained a Y-pipe and two Random Technoloy CATS. The system arrived 2 months later.
Problems:
1.) Y-pipe was five inches off, had to wench header collectors together to make it fit
2.) 1 of 3 clamps were to small, would not fit
3.) the two clamps that did fit wouldn't seal, the bolts broke first, very thick gauge y-pipe
4.) took forever to reach the company I bought the system from
I finally got a hold of the company that I bought the system from, and one month later I received a new Y-pipe and three new clamps.
Problems:
1.) the new Y-pipe fit the headers this time but is riding up against the factory torque arm, system will not align correctly
2.) 2 of 3 clamps were to small, would not seal, used the two clamps that did fit from the first shipment, still not sealing
3.) after numerous e-mails and message left at the company, there has been no contact for over two months
To fix the Y-pipe problem, I then orderd an aftermarket torque arm that mounts where the factory tunnel brace used to be. I got the torque arm one week later.
Problems:
1.) Y-pipe is in the way and will not let the torqua arm mount to the tunnel brace brackets
Now, I'm in the market for a new header/y-pipe system. I absolutly do not want to go through these problems again. I have to admit; it's hard to trust anyone when the say "Yes, it will fit." I'm looking at the Dynatech Supermaxx system. I would like feedback please.
Thanks
Do you want expensive headers and Y-pipe again? Coated Pacesetters go for 380 bucks now adays and Texas Speed sells a catted y-pipe for the pacesetters. They are a sponser here, so the y-pipe will be top notch!
here is their site:

Look at this thread, too.

I think the consensus here is QTP, Kooks, PPC, FLP, StainlessWorks.
All have excellent customer support (that I have heard anyway) several are sponsors and I know personally that QTP, PPC, and Stainless Works are very responsive.
