Default Anyone ever used oval tubing for true duals?

Anyone done it? I wouldnt mind having true duals but I wouldnt want to give up being lowered with Eibach Sportlines. I figure oval tubing would possibly save an inch or so.... which as we all know would help.

Give it a try and let us know how it turns out for ya. I believe that Pro Stock John has used oval tubing on his exhaust.

BTW.. I see you have a Spintech... that was my other choice vs true duals. How do you like it? Is it the 343SC splitcase muffler?

Yea.. it's the 343SC. It's really tame compared to my previous exhaust. I really love the idle. Not very loud or raspy when getting on it. I heard that they don't flow extremely well, but the cutout I'm installing should help with that.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied.

Overall the spintech mufflers have been known as mellow. We install these for our customers that think magnaflows or flowmasters are to loud.

I did run dual oval exhaust for a while. I ran some extremely loud Flowmaster shootout mufflers and I sold all the stuff to a buddy of mine with a race car.

Oval can get a little pricey, but it will help a lot with ground clearance. I ran 3.5" oval exhaust.

I am running a 3" x pipe setup now. (not oval)

I have an oval dual system w/ spintechs on my 3rd Gen car. The ground clearance is very good, and the exhaust sounds good. It's a bit loud for a daily driver. I can email you pictures and a link to a sound clip of it idling in the shop if you'd like.
