Well the turn down if it's under the car will likely drive you nuts after awhile, on a stock f body, the Rumbler sounds really good, I get comments on it all the time on how cool it sounds. As for being loud, it's not IMO overly loud inside the car, (it does have some drone @1800-2k, nothing a radio won't take care of) and it's not even that much louder than stock @ idle,(neighbors haven't bitched yet and I leave @0500) but you start revving it's definately a loud one, but it's got a good sound to it, and frankly for the price, it's one of the better catbacks out there, not to mention it's dirt simple to install, took about 10 min to get it put on, aligned, and clamped together
With headers and ORY I'd suspect given its design,(but can't say for sure) it would sound like the LM with a dynomax bullet (AKA Dynomouth) if that's the sound you like than go for it, besides even if you don't like it, you can always sell it and recoup some of your money

i have a clip of the Rumbler catback on stock manifolds/stock y on my web page below.

sometimes i'm cool with the sound, other times it sounds like it's a truck... and the drone will give you a splitting headache.

the muffler on it is simply a dynomax bullet, if i knew that before i got it, i probably wouldn't have bought it. i'm soon replacing the bullet with a PowerStick chambered bullet - much more refined sound to it.

Yeah, with a LT's, ORY and 4400 it was a little loud for me. I want an exhaust that is on the quiet side, but if your looking for a great sounding CB that has volume to it then the Rumbler is what you want.

1998Z20what?- We have the Rumbler catback and the Rumbler X system. If you're running a y-pipe, you want the catback but if you want true duals, go with the Rumbler X.
