Rumbler X with Flowtech LT's

I know someone must know how to make this work?

Is their any kind of adapter to make it fit up correctly to the flowtech style header connections (3 bolt flange instead of smooth)?

I do not want to cut my headers or anything

what can I do?

thanks

you could get flanges welded onto the rumbler X, or you could cut the bolt-on flanges off the headers(youll have more clearance this way)just make sure the header has a 3" collector so the pipe will slide over it correctly.

When I cut the flanges off...the header still has a small lip around it. Should I just smooth it off with a dremel or something...or just cut off like a 1/4 inch?
Would this be ok?...I dont want to ruin my headers.

So if I get the flanges off and get rid of the lip....it should fit right up with no other fab work correct? Cause im not sure if the flowtechs end up in the same spot as pacesetter and jet-hots etc...anyone know?

I just dont want to have to take it to an exhaust shop because the ones around here charged me 100 bucks just to bend my y-pipe over 1 inch.
This is also why I want to make this rumbler x work and not have a shop fab a universal x-pipe up...it would be about the same price when they are done.

I would think that you could cut the flanges/lip off & still have enough mounting surface to clamp on the duals. do the flowtechs have 2.5" or 3" collectors? this will be a problem if you cut the flanges off to find a 2.5" collector cus the tsp duals are 3". youll have to get a 3"-->2.5" reducer welded on

Oh, and there should be enough play in the TSP kit to make it hook up to your headers even if there not exactly in the same spot as pacesetters or jet-hots.

Good luck!!

True duals huh? So 1BadMoFo won't have the meanest sounding car around anymore :secret:

Yeah it is the only way to go, and with a cam it is even meaner.

And after seeing the mph his car put down in the 1/4...I think those true duals produce some good numbers

They are 3 inch collectors. Do they even make 2.5 inch collectors on ls1 long tubes?
