| 8banger | Dec 29, 2004 09:13 PM | Which exhaust: TD's or Mufflex? Hey everyone. I've decided to swap my MAC mid-length headers out for Pacesetter race-style long tubes. Now, I need to figure out which exhaust to go with. I want something that will be relatively quiet at idle, tame enough to avoid constant attention from cops, and possibly quiet enough to sneak up on some potential kills. However, I wouldn't mind a little growl when I get on it. I also want something that isn't easily visible from behind/outside the car. This leads me to two choices: TSP Rumbler X true duals (I'd weld in some Moroso Spiral Flows after the fact), or Mufflex 98402CS 4" single exit exhaust with Spintech muffler. With the TSP, I would just bolt it straight up to the Pacesetters. With the Mufflex, I would get the Mufflex dual 3" to single 4" off-road y-pipe. I am drawn towards the Mufflex because of the sound, the fact that no one else has it, and the numbers it puts down. Given that by the spring, I'll have full bolt-ons and a cam, and eventually some 5.3's, which exhaust would you choose? Please post any comments/opinions. Thank you.
