Meziere Water pump LS6 - Meziere WP319
How much reliable hp & tq gains are seen with the addition of this water pump. I've been told from 5-10 hp.
I currently have a 160 degree thermostat, so water temp is not an issue...
But I'm looking to free up some power without going to a reduced pulley on the alternator.

I gained zero hp and torque when I switched the Meziere for the stock water pump on the same day.

I made a pump replacement casting so have no pump mounted on the engine at all. It has water passages enlarged to the size of the gasket dimensions and is much smoother on the bends. You could also open up the block to suit, use any stat you want and run an inline pump mounted on the hose. It doesn't have a bracket for the idler as it wasn't done for stock cars but I did it to increase coolant flow with flexibility for retrofit cars. I prefer the idea of an inline pump with temp control.

And the Meziere does look alot better than the stock waterpump, especially a chrome one.
At the track the Meziere would be good, but for street use forget about it.
