Anyone have pic's of inside an X pipe

Just wondering how smooth the inside of different x pipes look. So if you have a pic please post it. Thanks

I have a dr gas x pipe and a summit universal xpipe. The problem with the summit x pipe is that it is too narrow at the xpipe crossover. The summit pipe has a little bit of welding slag in it.The inside crossover size is much larger in the summit xpipe too. I think by useing it you would be adding a flow restriction to your system. It cost 35 usd.

The dr gas tangental siamesed crossover has no inside welding slag. It also has two true 3 inch pipes. They have holes cut into the pipes that are welded around to connect them together. It does have flaw though. The xpipe is great but the extentions that are welded on the ends of the xpipe are made to fit into the x pipe. The extentions are not true 3 inch pipe. They are pinched to fit inside a 3 inch pipe. They are then welded. So to get a true 3 inch system you need to cut the extentions off. It cost 190 usd.

I have them both but im not sure how to post a pic. Sorry.

Yeah, I have one of those sitting in my basement because I decided it wouldn't work with my setup. It is made very very well. Very smooth. It is 2.5". I might sell it if anyone wants it.

The Dr Gas X's we use(they have many types for different applications) are as stated, but true 3" pipes that are 'swedged' or swelled on all four ends to slide 3" pipe into. The hole or crossover opening is kind of a 3" oval. They have R&D'ed the angle in and out - as well as the diameter of the crossover hole - to all ends. And patented the final piece - which I believe makes more power than any X crossover out there.

I'll try to get some pics up this weekend.

thanks and i hope you guy's can post some pic's. The reason i am asking is my TSP x pipe has some left over pipe extension on one side though not to bad i was curious to compare it to others. I think i'm going to clean it up alittle before i install it even though Trevor at TSP said he didn't think it would change anything, but i just hate to not have everything perfect cause then i would always think to myself "what if" BTW Trevor @ TSP is an great guy to speak to and he answered all of my ?'s

I bought a Flowtech 2.5" X setup from JC Whitney for 119.99, part number ZX508244N.

The X is not welded even, but will fit ok. Inside needs to be cleaned up some. With some work it will be fine. Here’s some pic’s.

Good point is it's cheap, bad point is I had to wait a month because they were out of stock and the quality is not all that great.

I have a Dr Gas X pipe I'll part with for $80 shipped. I have a couple of pictures that I "tried" to get this inside but they really don't do the X pipe justice. Let me know if you want the X pipe.

That cost $80 :nono:

I'd get the magnaflow, looks to have a superior build quality

That would be very incorrect. Dr. Gas hand down is the better build quality. That's what their business hinges on. You might wanna go to their website, and see what kind of kits that DR. Gas specializes in first. I doubt you can find a better built/flowing X than Dr. Gas. At least that's what Nascar and Hooters pro-cup uses......and if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me... :)
