Just built custom headers, Who has the best coating?
I'm finishing up building a set of headers and I'm looking into the different coatings. What have you guys had good luck with? I want something that looks good as well as holds up.
Thanks

HPC and Swaintech are generally the ones with the most elaborate coatings. Airborne and JetHot are also there, however I don't hear about JetHot much in oval track racing. That may just be my area or track though.
By the way, in carb oval racing you are forever getting at the plugs. Coating helps alot! Although I wouldn't grap it.

I grabbed them because we opened the hood at the gas station just to check everything over and I didn't notice any heat coming off the motor when I leaned in. So, I was like holy crap! I tapped the header and it wasn't hot, then I grabbed it and held for about 4 seconds until my hand got hot. Very sceintific experiment. Conlusion: Swaintech is the ****. Andy

I'd say HPC. Jet Hot is Good, but HPC is better. Just look at who uses Jet Hot and Who uses HPC. (Jet Hot-Street. HPC- F1, NASCAR,etc.)
I'll copy a quote I had from them.

I am still thinking about coating my Edelbrocks and I'll have them do it.

Mate u got it easy, so much room there, 1 7/8" pipes and there is no obstructions in your path.
I wish mine was half as easy, we had to go 1 5/8" as nothing bigger would fit due to space limitations and we need to raise the motor out every time we move on to the next pipe when bending etc.
Should flow very well, job well done mate.
