Default Have MAC Cat's improved, or are they still junk?

I'm thinking of getting some MAC mid-lenths for my SS and was wondering if anyone has had any recent experience with the converters that come with the MAC Y-pipe.

I know people have had issues of them breaking apart inside and crappy flow in the past. I'm wondering if maybe they've improved the design in the last few years??
