Anyone with a Borla XR-1 muffler please read!! I just installed longtubes with and i had cats and a loudmouth on the car but a rock hit my drivers side cat and shattered the insides..so i had the cats gutted and now its wayyy to raspy..the car sounded great before and i was told that if i install a XR-1 muffler inplace of my resonator it will take the rasp away..i doubt im goin to reinstall new cats and i want to avoid buying a new exhasut..anyone who has done this please let me know how it sounds and if it takes the rasp away!! thanks in advance

yea im intrested in this as well.. i dont have a loudmouth, but i do want to put one of these mufflers or a bullet on the end of my y pipe where my cutout currently is and delete my catback... id like to hear some clips, but that link doesn't work for me either.

i have heard some people say that it works and then some say that it doesnt..i have heard one car on ls1sounds.com with it but it had a huge cam in it and it was only idleing so it was kinda hard to tell...anyone with advice please help us out!!

I would also like to know if it gets rid of rasp. I have a GMMG with LT's and no cats. It sounds great at idle and WOT but I think it sounds *** at partial throttle.

it does work! sorry about the link not working, it's not mine. I have LTs no cats and a Borla catback that sounded like **** until I had a Borla XR-1 welded on to the I pipe. the part # is 40085
