I did it with MMS heads and 224 cam, 3.23 gears and a st3800, no weight reduction.

There are people in 11's with stock internals without nitrous. Auto's that is, but there are some.

how deep into the 11's are we talking? a4's are easy to get a low e.t and they dont require alot of power. it will be more difficult with your m6. i'd stick with alll carb approved bolt ons and a 100 shot myself.

Blower. Or juice is a much cheaper route.

Firechickenracin Feb 21, 2005 07:37 PM

is it possible to be in the high 11's like 11.7's with my car with carb legal bolt ons? saying like with out FI or N2O? or is the N2O going to be my ticket to get there?

Blue02Ws6 Feb 21, 2005 07:40 PM

since you have a M6 it is mostly up to your driving skills and 60'. If you suck as a driver then no you will not get in the 11's if you are a badass driver and can cut a great 60' and hit them gears you prob will.

Hey guys, he's talking about his 69 Firebird. Poncho motors are definitely not my specialty but I know Cali is pretty tough on their emissions so i'm not sure what heads or cam you can get away with but heads are key to hp. Also, match your gears and converter to your heads and cam's rpm range. The most cost effective way would be to spray your way there using as much spray as possible with your bottom end but make sure your suspension can handle the extra power as well.

Actually he said he wanted his WS6 to hang with his 69.

I'd put a Supercharger on it if it were my car. Should net you an 11 sec timeslip with good tires and the supporting bolt-ons (minus the exhaust portion of course ;) ).

the 69 is over 30 so he can go as fast as he wants with that, the ws6, carb legal boltons and juiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

Wow, sorry, somehow I completely got that mixed around. Yeah, a power adder is definitely the easiest way to get into the 11's, just work around the laws out there.
