Pacesetter LT's Pic's

Just got my LT's from the UPS guy and decided to take a few pics for you guys that may be thinking about getting them. Overall quality seems to be pretty good, flanges look true and flat, welds seem strong. Only negatives I see so far are that on the pass side header where the EGR tube is welded on the inside of the pipe is rough with protruding metal edges...nothing a dremmel wont fix though Collectors leave a little to be desired (anyone know what those white little balls are on the inner edges )

Also take a look at the pic of the ypipe, on the inside it looks like there is a piece of metal tac welded in there to block some of the opening where the 2 pipes meet (zoom to see closer) Anyone else have this on theirs???

Only other thing worrying me is that in the picture with the assembled setup there doesnt seem to be too much room between the pass and driver side flanges (enough room for a motor to go between )...I hope the ypipe is not a reject and that my eyes are just f*ing with me.

Anybody have any opinions? I posted this over at CZ28.com and only got responses like : "wow those are shiny" :bang: The tech knowledge on this site is far superior

My bad...should be all set now

What does it mean for an ORY to have EGR and AIR fittings and o2 sims? If I got these will it pass a sniffer test? I want Pacesetter LT's in stainles steel with a mufflex ORY.

This is exactly how mine looked. The crap in the y-pipe is the same on mine...definitely a cause for turbulence where they y together. Makes me want dual cutouts! Also, you said not much room b/w the passenger and driver collectors...totally normal. I first looked at mine when I got them and was like WTF?! but that's how it fits.

AIR is pointless if you have an ORY (no cats) and the EGR will still help emissions but w/o cats good luck passing a sniffer.

I wonder if there is anyway I can get in there and grind it out, might have to make some sort of extension for the dremmel??? Thanks for the reply though.

Come to think of it, I don't know if we have sniffer tests, just visual inspections. Should I go with an ORY with cutouts with LT headers anyways?

If they look under the car they will see that you don't have cats.

Looking good i got mine in on monday and they were installed last night it took about 3 1/2hr to complete the install and started the car up and let it run for a little bit and the headers did not change color at all or even smoke.
