Question Anyone have any write ups/pictures of removing A/C?

I want to keep my heating so I can defrost my windows but dont need my a/c. Anyone have a link to removing it and pictures?

its all just unbolt and remove.. leave the box on the firewall to keep heat.

Doesn't the A/C compressor run when the defroster is on?

Easiest thing ever. cut the belt, and unbolt it. un hook all of the lines and wire harnesses.......... took me 20 min.

Yes it does but they had defrost on cars w/o ac in the old days & it still worked, the compressor just helps dry the air. My defrost still works great in my car but I live in a relatively dry climate.

ok I removed it but what do I do about the 2 holes on the black box where the 2 bolts would go for the a/c? So now I will only need one belt right? My motors not in my car so I am not sure?
