Default Ported TB worth it with LS6 intake, F11, and underdrive pulley?

I'll be installing an LS6 intake, F11, and underdrive pulley in the next month or two. Is porting the TB worth it with this setup?

Thanks,

Jim

anywhere you can port to get more air into teh engine is worth it.....
especially with something as easy as the TB...took me less than an hour to do all the porting...took the epoxy about 3 hours to set up for me to start grinding...took it off at about 6pm...put it back on the next morning and drove to work

Yeah as he said above. If you don't want to do it yourself Ron at GMMG does a outstanding job and he's running a special now for $75.

damn, I never really much considered a ported tb until I looked at bo's website, Ill be putting that on my list, right after true duals!!!

one question:
bo: is that 65 shipped for a new tb, or is that 65 shipped for the throttle body off my car, any core charge involved?

just wondering....

Yes I would do a ported throttle body without question. You already have a lid so you are adding more air.

I a few cores but they are all out to customers at the moment. My turn around time is usually a week-week and a half but I will be out of town the first week of April. I usually do the TBs that are sent in unless the car cannot be down. The price is ported/polished and shipped back, unless you are getting one of mine and then its between that customer and I on what steps is taken. Thanx for the complements

It sounds like it's worth getting a ported TB.

Thanks for the replies,

Jim

I was thinking of getting an Aftermarket TB, but is there any performance difference between porting my stock TB and buying a new TB?
