98-99 tb fit a 2000??

I have heard that the throttle cable cam has a faster ramp rate than the 2000+...whichs make it open a little faster...... so I am interested in this....
doe the 98-99 TB just bolt right up ro are there modifications I would have to make to it...

As far as I know they will all bolt up. I saw one where someone put a ported one on their 01 car from an older car and the TB blade was not opening all the way because of that cable. So, what you said would make sense. Give it a shot and let us know what your result is.

You can always swap the cam over. Let me know if you need any help with it. Is this a stock tb?

Yep, just the cams are different. You can swap the cams (loosing the faster ramp rate), or make a spacer for the throttle cable at the pedal to take up the slack. I have heard that on TCS cars you can adjust the throttle cable, so if you have traction control you might want to check that out.

I thought the 98-99's had a faster ramp rate???
which would mean I woud gain in throttle opening speed...not lose it....???

am I mis informed???

No your right, the 98-99 have the smaller cams and do open quicker. But if you where to swap cams to match your cable you'd loose the ramp rate. I have a truck TB in mine which has the same cam as the 98-99s. What I did with the throttle cable was, took a peice of aluminium brake line, cut it to length, used a Dremel to slice it length wise so you can slide it over the cable, then use the spacer to take up the slack at the pedal and I covered it with two layers of wire shrink wrap so it wouldn't pop off. It has worked great for a year with no issues. :)
