Pacesetter LT install Q's

I'm going to be installing my Pacesetters and TSP ORY next week on my 2001 SS. I was just wondering about how long of a job should this be ? The car will be on a lift.
Also is there anything to take off to make the install smoother/easier, any
tricks ?

Thanks

A lift is a huge help, if you know what your doing it should'nt take you any longer than 7 hours. It took me like double that, but I have had no experiance working in cars before I installed mine. My Pacesetter went in without any problems, same with the ORY. Oh yeah, a 10mm gear wrench is a big help, and soak those three manifold bolts with wd-40 the night before, cause they are a pain in the ass to take off when rusted.

Should be a breeze. I just had mine on jack stands, and I could have put them in with the plugs still in it was that easy. The hardest part is taking off the old exhaust, a sawzaw comes in very handy. You don't have to take anything else out to get the headers to fit. One thing you need to be careful with though since you have a lift. Once you slide the headers up, bring the car down so you or someone else can hold them from the top and get them bolted in. They will not stay up there lodged on to anything, especially on the passenger side.

All my old shit came out easy and everything went in easy, the only thing was we didn't have the car high enough so it was kinda tuff to twist and turn the passenger header in the right position to get it to go up, thats cause we were using jackstands. With a lift u should be done quik. It took me and a friend about 7-8hrs and that includes eating and just messing around and making my own 02 extensions.

yeah with a lift it'll be alot easier n the floor it took me 4 hours from start to having the headers completely bolted in , fabbing up the true duals was a whole different project the next day though.
