Default Questions about cat. converter and knock retard

First question, how hard is it to take off the cats? Second question, could something rattling around inside my catalytic converter cause false knock? Thanks!

I don't know about the cat causing a false knock. You can unbolt the pipes to get to the cats. I don't remember if the cats are bolted, but the probably are. The head pipe bolts to the y pipe and the cats bolt on the y pipe. Not hard. Good Luck.

Depends on the model year. '98-'99 you can only unbolt the driver's side cat. '00 and up, both sides unbolt......
