Default Installed SLP LoudMouth and now plastic rattles in my car ?

On occasion my front plastic trims rattles inside the car mostly during acceleration. I am not sure which trim but I was wondering if yours do that also??? I bugs the hell out of me... otherwise I love the system since it has a great mean evil sound.... Oh and on a side note it's freaking LOUD and it installs really easy just needs patience and good beer !!!

welcome to the world of modding exhaust systems, with QTP headers and a cutout i think every plastic trim piece in my car rattles. the loudmouth has a resanator right under the car so that may cause some sound that will rattle plastic

I popped off the speaker grills and then put some shrink wrap around the tabs that hold them on place. Therefore making them fit tighterin the hole... seemed to help with some of the rattles. wont fix all of them but will help with some.

My Flowmasters make my front dash area and shifter rattle like hell occasionally.

mine rattles like a summmmbeyotch with the True Duals. That's why I'm switching to a nice little hooker catback. mine also rattled when I had the loudmouth.

Worse rattling was open header, followed by loudmouth and duals were the least annoying.

replace the LM resonator with a Borla XR-1.

After that, if duct tape and super glue can fix it, remove the rattling peices

Actually just to update this thread my LM settled down quite a bit. The sound is deeper and less annoying then it was before even if my system was bought second hand. I didn't think it would since it was used... I am really happy with it now. It ain't too loud and it ain't too quiet either just a great middle for me and that was what I was looking for. Just want to let ppl know that these systems even used settle down with time!!!

The F-body has never been known for having a quality interior, and adding some exhaust noise only magnifies the problem. My interior rattled even before I added a Y-Pipe and a Hooker Cat-back-most of it from the hatch area. You guys running LT's with no cats, off-road Y's, and Loudmouths must have interior pieces falling off inside your cars.

My rattle turned out to be the metal where the seats unfold. I put some cloth in the latch and fixed it... I hate rattles, but with my Loudmouth, my car is rattle free...
