My QTP LT headers and TSP true duals came in and I just want to know how much did the shop charge yall for installation. And how long did it take. I dont have a EGR so is that going to cause compilations besides the light staying on much need information. Thanks

I recommend self installation of the headers. Not sure on the duals, but I'll bet you can get them on even if you do need a shop to get them tucked up nicely.

Edit: Check this forum, there are at leat two EGR posts with the info you need in the top ten threads right now.

i suggest you install them both. if you can get the headers in, the exhaust won't be a problem at all. the biggest problem is getting the clearance to work with.

Another vote for self installation of the headers at least. Shootin from the hip, me and a buddy got everything out and replaced in 7 hours. The only problem was the driver side tab on the block. About three minutes of grinding and problem solved. I removed all my emissions crap as well. Very simple install and you feel really proud afterwards. Spend a little quality time with your baby!

All of that is fine but I dont have a lift nor have the skill to do the installation. And I heard headers can make you or brake you. And the kind of luck I had with my other car the odds or aganist me.

Headers are not hard. You do not nead a lift. Just a nice jack and four stands. You do have to get the front of the car pretty high. My header install was the very first thing I ever did. It's really not very hard. For me the hardest part was getting the stock, rusted exhaust off without any air tools and no leverage under the car. Ended up using a 2 1/2 ton jack to lift up on the end of a ratchest to break the bolt.

Trust me, if you can turn a wrench, you can install your headers. It is really quite simple. And there are thousands of people willing to help you on this site if you run into problems. You can always try a regional post and see if any one in your area can give you a hand. Just give yourself a weekend. Take your time and take plenty of breaks. After you're done, you'll be amazed at how easy it really was.

If you pay a shop to install your headers... you need to be kicked in the nuts.
