Do Bosch Platinum+4's suck?

Just a question for all LS1 owners. Do Bosch platinumn +4's suck for LS1s? I am told by everyone go with NGK, I am also told dont go with platinum?! TPIS says the +4's are awsome for LS1's and show 4 or so more horse on the dyno at the wheels, and I know they do alot with GM's. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

I noticed no difference between the bosh+4 and the tr55's......except for the price. Car ran the same times.

+4's have never ran good in anything I've owned. I'd personally go with the TR-55 iridiums.

EXACTLY!! I had platinum +4 and then tried TR55s. No difference, if anything TR55s are better because I can change them every spring for 3 years before I spend the amount I did on the +4s.

Never really understood why anyone would want to buy the Bosch 4's in any type of performance application. The additional electrodes do nothing but block the spark from the AF mixture. The spark will only travel the path of least resistance, which means one electrode at a time. The only benefit I see is longevity as each electrode wears down over time.

I noticed no difference between +4s and TR55s. Saying that, you could look at that one of two ways:
either the +4s are a waste of money for power
or that you can make the same power with more longevity with the +4s

Your choice.

In our 400+ hp cars, we found like Crazyman said the AC-Delco Iridiums work the best. GM switched over to them over a year ago.

Stay with the ngk or ac delco. I wouldn't spend the extra money for some +4s.

i work for bosh and i have the +4's. There is really no difference in power between any spark plug type/brand. There is a big difference however in the longevity of the plugs. If you like to turn wrenches and feal the need to change plugs every 25k than go with ngk. If you feal like changing plugs every 80-100k get the platinums/Iridiums. As for the +4's its more of a marketing thing, but they will last way longer than standard plugs.

I think NGK makes the iridium plugs for ACDelco...

Re thread topic: I was getting 4* KR with bosch platinum +4, only change was putting in NGKs again, and KR went away.
