I had to take off my oil filter and the diverter plate, or what ever the thing is above the filter. Also had to cut a little on the k-member. I did jet hots about 2 week ago. The install went smooth except for the passenger side rear header bolt, that bolt was a PITA.

My bud & I have installed over 30 sets of headers and the only ones that we have installed that sucked *** were flowtechs! In a couple of cases we had to trim the "block" that sticks out on the driver side but other than that 2 hours or less from start to finish.

basically... just remove however much you can/feel like removing and get the car up as high as you can... keep going til they fit.

If at first they don't fit, remove something and jack it up more
if they still don't fit, remove something else and jack it up some more
if it still doesnt fit, you get the idea

Things that can be removed that help... oil filter, drain plug, steering shaft, starter motor, spark plugs. I've had great success ubolting trans crossmember and manipulating engine/trans angle with a jack.

Depends on the brand. My Stainless Works headers slid right in from the bottom without removing all that stuff....just the spark plugs. Seems like the suckier the brand, the more crap has to be removed.

yeah, that too... i should have ended my list with "if all else fails, buy a better header"

SW's look pretty nice, if i ever go back to headers, i'll be giving them some serious thought.

My Pacesetters went in without removing ANYTHING at all under the car. I did remove the coil packs up top so I could get to the bolts a little easier.
