Default LS2 IM on LS1? brand new member!!

Hey, guys I recently purchased a LS2 intake manifold for my 98 pontiac trans-am. I'm not race car builder by far, but I want to really start increasing the performance in my car. If anyone can tell me what additional parts I need, and what needs to be done I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks!!

Do you have a high flow lid?

I don't recall what all you need off the top of my head, but I think this has been covered in the LS2 section

Sell the LS2 intake & get an LS6 intake. It's an easier swap & the gains are the same or maybe even better with the LS6.

LS6 > LS1
LS6> LS2

Only improvement over the LS6 is the fast 90/90 or 78/78.
Plenty of dyno results posted, search they're there.

Curious why you bought the LS2. The LS6 is a much easier and cheaper swap and is the better performing manifold.

I thought the LS2 intake was a better one over the LS6 being newer, and with the 90mm opening. I only paid $279 for it, but I will sell it and get that LS6 manifold. Even my 13 year old brother criticized me for that move.

LS6 performs better than the LS2 in most areas, the only gains you may get would be from a 90MM TB.
