mezmeriz electric water pump? are these pumps any good? there is someone localy who is selling a new one for a ls1 for 175.00

Meziere is a top of the line pump, they are rated at 2500 hrs. I would have to be in suspicion of the price though, if its supposed to be new, i paid 500 or more, i cant remember for sure. Make sure if you buy it that it has the idler pulley on it as the race version dont. If its used, the pulley as you know will show pulley marks.
