I am putting Pacesetter LT's on 00 SS, will I need O2 extenders for the pre-cat sensors?

yes you do.

Unless you want to do the ol' cut and splice.

It's the headers you need extensions for. If you didn't have extensions with longtubes you wouldn't have functioning front O2's, and you would definately know it if that were the case. ;)

Dont you need sims for the rear if running a ORY?

I ordered headers. I already have an aftermarket ypipe (w/ cats) on the car. The cats are so far back that i believe extensions are already on the car. I ordered an ory with my headers so i will only need the front sensors which i should be able to use the extensions for. clarified

you need extensions with long tubes. if you dont want to buy extensions and want new o2 sensors, go to autozone and buy the corvette rear o2 sensors that have built in extensions that are more than long enough. they also have better heaters in them so you wont throw any o2 heater codes which is happening a lot.

I rerouted my o2 sensor lines toward the back of the engine where the spark plugs located closest to the fire wall are located. This keeps them from resting close to the headers. You can also splice the pcm o2 sensor wire, just don't splice the wire connected to each o2 sensor. I soldered a long patch in my pcm line. Sensors operate normally- good switching. I also run - I think 01',corvette sensors up front. These get more toasty and are a higher power than the factory f body sensors.
