Default Advice: I am looking into the FAST intake and t/b and want some input.

Hey all:

I have a 2002 Z-28 with all the bolt ons and H/C set-up. I am looking for another 15-20 HP to get me where I wanted to be.

Question is I have the ls6 intake (02) and a SLP ported throttle body.

Would a FAST intake and throttle body make a differance and net me 15-20 rwhp?

Yes I have done some searching also. Just want some more input.

Thanks

Not sure about the anticipated gains. If you go this route, I'd go with a NWTB.

<REPEAT> ... alot of search material on this combo lately. If you had a LS6 intake and ported TB, it wouldn't be worth the extra money spent, with your mods. Since you appear to still have a LS1 intake and stock TB, it would be money well-spent on your '98 if you plan on bigger cube/heads/cam later ... IMHO.

Most of the gains seem to be seen with 383 and larger cubes. For the cost, I would do a ported TB and LS6 intake ... spend the other $800-$900 dollars on something else ... just my opinion.

The bigger FAST intake is great if you add cubic inches but the LS6 intake with your ported TB is the better choice IMO.

I say to it if you plan to add heads down the road. Its even some that have seen a good gain on cam only cars with this.
