pacesetter/jet-hot lt's Anyone have either of these headers and live in an area where you get snowy winters? I live in Boston and was wondering how they hold up over the years? Also, is the TSP catted-y SS or aluminized? I know the kooks is SS and would be better but of course they are twice the price. How long would the Pacesetters/Jet-hot last up here in the northeast? |
don't drive your baby in the winter!! |
My ORY that I got from TSP is holding up really well. Actually it does not have any rust on it at all. I dont have any real winters where I live, but we do get rain quite often here. If you dont want to deal with rust then ceramic is not for you. You should go with stainless steel if you plan on driving in snow. Otherwise the coated ones are going to rust on you. If you went in and cleaned them up every couples days it may keep the rust away, but thats to much of a hassle IMO. |
Salt will eat into any off the ceramic coatings and peel it off. Most companies will warn you of using their ceramic coatings in a salt environment. Bob |
