How Much will shorty's effect my....
 

hey guys, just wondering. How bad will my car haveing shortys effect my horse power with the mods in my SIG.

Also getting 30 pound svo's & of course a TUNE! I want atleast 400 rwhp... Will it be possible?

If your wondering why i got shortys its because im in california...The long tubes wont pass visual :gay: So im going with the best set up i could possibly go with and still pass smog. Anyways what do you guys think??

probably losing about 10-15 hp , what are afr 202's i think u meant afr 205's

From what I gather, you could be just as well off getting some used OEM manifolds off a 2000 F-body. From '00-on, GM reworked them to flow better, to the point that shorties won't increase power hardly at all.

Guys, I read AFR 202s, too. I thought WTF???

I am running the same setup as a friend of mine and he is dynoing 30 hp higher with long tubes and not cats, versus my JBA shorites and stock ypipe with cats. He is at 410 rwhp and me at 380 rwhp.

Yes they are 202's i looked at the reciept..I just sent Gunnar a message maybe ill get a good answer.
Anyone else have any input???

It must be a mis-print. AFR's don't come in 202's, they are 205's.

yea i talked to gunner this morning and he said he sent me the stage 2 LS6 stye heads...So i made a mistake i guess :)
