o2 sensor problems

So I was driving my car and the SES light came on. It starts running like shit under load up in till about 3500 rpms then it would kick in. So I scanned it to see what code it was throwing. It turns out it's was passenger o2 sensor. I bought a new one and it was doing the same thing. The thing I can't figure out is that it runs great with the passenger 02 unplugged but as soon as I plug it back up it runs like shit. I checked for exhaust leaks to make sure that wasn't throwing off the sensor. I don't know any more, I'm stumped. :bang:

just get the o2 sensors tuned off or get o2 sims....won't have to worry about it and both should be cheaper than a single new o2 sensor

Ws6ik_2000 Oct 11, 2005 09:25 PM

they are the front o2 sensors. how bad would it run with sims on the front?

DO NOT RUN SIMS ON THE FRONT SENSORS.

Try switching the sensors from one side to the other and see if the problem follows the sensor or stays on that side.

tried that. it's just the passenger side, plus it's a brand new sensor. i think i'm just going to keep it unpluged for a while.
