What is the sound like? Do you recommend them? Are yours the super 40, or what mufflers? Thanks for the pics.

Maybe you did it for a reason but that x is on upside down

StangEaterSS Dec 3, 2005 08:14 PM

prolly is, they dont give you any instructions. it fits fine and doesn't hit anything, so ill just leave it like that.

Do you guys have problems with ground clearance?

What do they sound like inside while cruising?

johnpate01 Dec 3, 2005 10:04 PM

How can that X pipe be on upside down? The angle where it attaches onto the headers is different on each side, and the pieces that are clamped together can only be installed one way, I think....

^ ya, i am now curious to see pics from underneath of someone else's w/ TSP duals. anyway it tucks up by the floor pretty tight, if that piece angled up instead of down i'm sure that the muffler would touch the floor board and vibrate. i guess if you used those other mufflers people are using that look smaller in diameter they would tuck up alot nicer.

StangEaterSS Dec 4, 2005 10:59 AM

just found some other pics of the TSP from underneath looks like the X is on the way i installed it. here's a couple. http://www.ls1sounds.com/pics/texas_...iformy_012.jpg

That x is on upside down too. Thats the one on ls1sounds that is almost dragging the ground. The system from the x back is upside down, not the whole exhaust. Notice the exhaust has a bend behind the x. That is supposed to bend up not down.

glad mine isn't dragging on the ground, lol. i have pretty decent ground clearnce, the lowest part is the tip of the turn down and that's about even w/ the rear swaybar.

Haha. I installed mine upside down also. I will fix it when I decide to install my spec 3.

StangEaterSS Dec 5, 2005 06:34 PM

I think they should send instructions or something, this seems to be a common problem. lol.

Phoenix 5.7 Dec 5, 2005 10:06 PM

DALLAS Dec 5, 2005 10:38 PM
