Meziere Water pump caution/question

Meziere Water pump caution/question We're putting my motor back togther and noticed something bad on the Meziere water pump. When we first put it in we noticed that the wires were very close to the pulley and we positioned the wires best we could to prevent them from rubbing. Now after about 3k miles I noticed that its chaffed from where the pulley has rubbed the wire. Has anyone taken the unit apart?

mine has been alright, i think the relay i used is bad cuz its draining my battery if i dont drive it everyday.. when i first got it i noticed the wire issue but after it was on the car, with their little special wire hold thing(forget the real name) it seems to be just fine
