Default Noob question from SouthFL. F-body LT's fit Y-body?

I've never thought about it before, but do they? I've spent plenty of time under an F-body, but am a total noob with Y-bodies. Tried a search- no defnitive answer.
Part numbers from different manufacturers differ between the F and Y LT's.

'99 FRC build on the horizon.
Time to learn new things.

I'm asking this 'cause I like the Edelbrock Stepped LT's and they don't list them for Vettes.

*** EDIT:
C5 LT's seem to neck inward at the collector much more than F-bod LT's. Their primaries area also much longer before the collector. I know the question I ask may seem a little retarded, but it doesn't hurt to ask. A little fabbing of an X-pipe is no problem. If the actual header does not fit- that's another issue altogether not worth exploring.

Just buy parts that are specifically made to fit your car. There are better than Edelbrock out there, I promise.

"Better" is proven by dyno sheets and 1/4 mile timeslips.
None are available right now, but the product looks to be of high quality and design for the price.

PS. I know a 'lil about LT's (just not about Y-bodies).

Well, then just think about it practically. Is the firewall the same as a f-body? Is there as much ground clearance? Is there as much engine bay room? We all know the motors are basically the same but there are many other variables. Thats why I suggested using parts designed for your car. Some of the angles might not match, length on parts could differ. Unless you wanna waste money or start a total custom project stick to parts that you know will work.

P.S. - you will be better off not actin like a dick when people make suggestions.

Do you know the actual answer? Yes or no?

If it does not fit, it does not fit. Question was not intedend to be an LT brand pissing contest.

He asked a yes or no question, as he stated the Edelbrock website doesn't list a part# for the vette

Hey Big Mike, thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Your time is appreciated. Cheers.

And Dan, yeah, I had too many exhaust configurations on that car- that was hilarious.

I would say no. Not all parts on these motors are interchangable between F & Y bodies. Thats why they make exhaust for each type of car. You could run into fitment & clearance issues tryin to fit a part not specifically made for you car.

I could. But judging by your answer, it just seems like you're just making an educated guess.
Thanks again.

no they are nowhere even close. the vettes headers angle in towards the center of the car so as to go down the center channel below the torque tube. f body headers (drivers side mostly) angle outwards. u would never get them in there.

The collectors on vette headers are curved around the oil pan
