Default need help deciding on 4.6 mustang intake

a friend of mine just got a 2001 gt 4.6 and hes gonna start modding it. he's already got dynomax duals w/ roush side pipes, and hes gonna get a cold air intake next. im not a member ont he mustang sites obviously, so i thought id ask here, im sure some people here are familiar with those cars. i know with our LS1's basically all lids and intakes are basically the same in design, so are the cheap $40 intakes on ebay just as good as the high dollar K&N, BBk, and Mac intakes? what would ya'll recommend?

I had heads/cams 4.6l GT and it had everything but CAI. They cause the air to hit the MAF with turbulent air and sometimes have trouble with stuttering and a rich A/F ratio. A CAI won't do much anyway......I'd spend my money on a BBK upper plenum or something else. And since this is an LS1 forum, I'd also have to suggest that he sell his car and buy an LS1.

I just wrecked my 620rwhp 04 GT. My CAI said Paxton on it I, like the other guy, am not a fan of the CAI on the 4.6. More bang for the buck in a set of gears or a plenum. I like the Dragon plenum and Accufab TBs.
Steer your freind to www.modularpowerhouse.com. I'm a moderator there and you can get some good info without all the drama of the other sites. I have more useless Ford knowledge than a man should be allowed so drop me a line if need be.
