Royal purple almost 9HP gain on LS1
 

I was looking at their website and i found a video where they test the royal purple oil on a camaro SS, it was amazing after changing the motor oil, transmision fluid, differential oil, and adding the purple ice they were able to get almost 9 HP :eek2: , has anyone seen these kinds of gains?

If you dyno a car 5 times in one day, the RWHP will be different every time. There ain't no way they got a true 9 HP gain. I think they just did another run and it happened to be 9 HP more than the last. Did a couple HP come from the fluid, maybe...possible...but 9HP from just that is just hilarious :lol: :bs:

If you dyno that same car today it might dyno 10 HP less.

I knew a guy that fermented bananna peels in an old coffee can and poured 1 cup per qt of mobile 1 into his car and gained 50 rwhp!!!! his motor had NO FRICTION!!!!!

i saw the same thing on horsepower tv. i was hoping they would change back to the fluids they were using before and re-dyno. keep doing that a few times and you might be able to get some useful data?

When i was a school boy, i actually won a whole case of royal purple at the dirt track races on a 50/50 ticket. I sold it to my uncle for 5$, thought i was makin money lol.

Ya i saw that EPisode. It. i see other test used on it each did dyno more. roypurple states increase HP. i see No reason why a company such as them would LIE they are one of the leading oils used in the Racing indrustiy today. The New COSWORTH MOTOROILS as well. I think many PPL are just BIASED on the gains and such. And dont support it simply cause they dont like it. Just my 2cents

I changed all of my fluids to Royal Purple not because of that video but just general maintenance and I could feel a difference. It shifted like butter and felt all around better!

Use Royal Purple with the Tornado, and you get a 20 H.P. gain!!! Stupendous! :)

dont forget the electric supercharger too!!

I dont see people getting 9hp on thier cars like HP TV did. HP TV Put a New motor and rear end in the car wasnt really used like our cars.
