I also thought it was impossible to screw up the sound of a Mustang until I heard this one the other day. It sounded like Loudmouth on a V6, but was definitely a GT.

I personally love the sound of LS1s...they have a different exhaust note than everything else on the road. Long tubes, and dumped duals with bullets = raw sound that's just bloody awesome.

I had a 2v mustang gt with an h-pipe and flows which sounded great. Just not loud enough for me, but my ls1 fixed that problem. I really like my exhaust has nice rumble down low and at WOT people fear for their lives

When the LS1 was developed, GM altered the firing order to smooth out the forces on the crank. It still has the uneven firing sequence that American V8s are known for(which is what gives them that meaner sound than other V8s), but the Y-pipe getup into the crossover muffler does make it sound like a neutered musclecar, in a sense. If you want to kick @$$ and sound good doing it, GMMG or duals will be your best bet.

Agreed...I've seen two separate GTs that sounded like complete ****. Didn't care to ask them what they did wrong though

I love the way LS1's sound, even compared to Mustangs.
