SLP loudmouth & lt's? how well is a SLP LM going to work with lt's and ory. i already have the Lm with slp lid. new to all this so need a little advise. |
Well it will work really really well...but it will probley drive you nuts with all the rasp and noise. |
cats or no cats? i've heard the cats help with the rasp |
Yeah cats will help out big time...otherwise you may wind up putting in a different muffler. |
Cats usually will tone down the rasp, but it's still a loud exhaust combo. Depending on the bitchiness level of you local law enfocement, and neighbors, you might want to rethink the combo |
well i'm from michigan living in texas so not sure what the boys down at the station are going to think. any suggestions on a muffler that might work a little better with lt's? |
Could try a Borla XR1, supposed to tame the sound down, or if you want a new catback, try the SLP dual dual, quiet, and flows well too. Listen over at ls1 sounds, and see (hear) what you like, check the borlamouth, and dynomouth sections (those are usually the LMs with a different muffler) You could just try it, and if you get hassled, then think about changing your set up |
Ok, I may be alone on this...but, I love the way my LM sounds. I have LT's, ORY, and no cats. I also have all other bolt-ons if that matters. I love the way it sounds. The only thing I would change it to would be true duals. I get so many compliments on it. Even on the highway people have asked me," Is that the Loudmouth...sounds unbelievable!!" Its up to personal preferrence of whether you will like hearing it all the time. Personally, I love it. |
