Y-Pipe options with Hooker LT's within.........

What are my options? Not too impressed with the Hooker y-Pipe, has anyone seen the Mufflex one? Pics? Anyone had one custom made? Pics?

Still waiting on my mufflex Y-pipe. . .

lots of guys complaining about how bad it looked, but they have to understand 2 things. . .it was the prototype, so it was pieced together. . . and it had a flat piece to fit by the driver's side floorboard.

Well, the hooker has the flat piece too, niether should affect flow.

The big thing is the lack of nice collector.

The mufflex has the georgeous dual 3", single 4" out collector.

Just like when guys mod their Mac y-pipe w/ the flowmaster collector, or guys have custom y-pipes made for their Grott's, I think there would be similar gains from the hooker y to the Mufflex y-pipe.

maybe few hp, but lots of torque across the board?

FWIW, a guy posted on ls1.com yesterday and gained 21 or so rwhp on a stock motor w/ the Hookers and their orp. I also believe the orp (Jet Hot) looks 20 times better than the ghetto looking Mufflex or any custom Y I've seen. He also posted that the orp doesn't bang, so the small dents are a good thing. I know mine looks good on my bedroom floor lol. To me, looks are low on the priority list for a pipe no one will see. Most importantly, it seems to flow very well.

The muflex was made to accept the carsounds cat.

So if you want cats, then I think the Mufflex is your best option other that local fab.

I was the guy that gained the 21 at the wheels. I too thought the hooker didn't look all that good. Not much of a collector, but the Dyno doesn't lie. I think the bends were a good idea, no banging on the floorboard, and No clearance issues, btw my car is lowered 1.5 inches. I'm very happy!
