98 camaro, doesn't start My friend has a 98 camaro he put headers on it. It started when he finished but later on he tried starting it but it won't start. The lights come on but it will not turn. |
Re: 98 camaro, doesn't start My best advise would be to take a look at all the wires near the headers, could be a wire got burn't or the starter became too hot from the heat from the headers. Good luck. Al [ June 30, 2002, 04:56 PM: Message edited by: DARK AGE 53 ] |
Re: 98 camaro, doesn't start If it the starter what is the best bet to do? |
Re: 98 camaro, doesn't start Once the starter has cooled it should start, if it doesn't start it could be something else like I said. He really needs to take a look at all the wires and make sure there not damaged. |
Re: 98 camaro, doesn't start Hey thanks for help, but he found out it was the key. he autotapped it and it read something about theft, so This mornig he found spare key and got it going. Thanks again |
Re: 98 camaro, doesn't start That's great news, I've heard of guys having that problem before but I guess I was looking at the header install as the problem. In the future if anyone has the same problem as your friend did we'll have to suggest they try another key first. Al |
