Mac's in but it won't start...Help!!!

OK, I finally wrestled the Mac's in place, got everything bolted up and now it won't start. Oh yeah, did I mention that I yanked out the EGR and don't have the AIR tubes hooked up? All block off plates are on. I will be deleting this with LS1 Edit this weekend but shouldn't it start regardless, just give me a code or something. Please help, I have got to hear this thing or I'm gonna break something. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

Check your trigger wire to your starter. I had a break in mine after I spliced my wire's when I installed my SLP LT's. It will not give you a code if this is the problem. On that note check all your wire around the starter as well Good luck

It's not the starter, it's turning over just fine. It just won't fire up. I can smell the fuel as well. Just no cranky GI. Does my car have the devil in it or what? Help me please.

check out your wiring harness for all your coil packs including the main connection.

Everything is fine there. I'm starting to think it's something in the PCM that's pissed at me. The gauges have been jumping around a little when I turn it over. Anybody?

I did that late last night and it's still doing the same thing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I had some similar problems after my MAC install. Check ALL the plug wires again and make sure none are nicked and grounding out. Check the coil pack harness connectors and check your fuses. I had a plug wire that looked and felt like it was on, but somehow came off and was arcing to ground. Car was really hard to start and idled like crap until it was fixed.

Did you plug the harness back in to the oil pressure sender?

Dude did you check the obvious..maybe the battery is dead/weak? I dont mean to imply your dumb or anything but I dont know how long you had the battery out or how old it is but ive had some problems cranking stuff over in the past with a battery that hasnt been charged in a while. Also there could be grease or something else from gettign a good contact. Hope that helps.

It's not the battery for sure. It turns over nicely, just won't fire up. I don't know what to do now.

OK I'm an idiot guys. Some of you might have seen a post I made in the lounge about a broken Temp Sending Unit. Well, if it's not hooked up because you haven't changed it yet, your car won't start. Or if it finally does it will be so rich you could sell your exhaust for 93 octane. Changed it out and the car starts and idles beautifully. Did I mention that I'm an idiot? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

That wasn't it....we left my buddies temp sender unplugged and the car started up just fine.

I don't know what else it could be. It went like this. TSU unplugged=shit idle and pig rich. Turned off car, plugged in TSU. Cranked right up nice and easy and smooth idle with no smoke. What else could it be. The PCM has to find out what the engine temp is from somewhere.
