Default why would removing the pcv system be a bad thing?

say i go get 2 metco breathers, one on each valvecover.. block off all ins and outs of the pcv system.. what are the negatives?

i tried it today and it started idled and drove totally the same.

is the lack of vaccum in the crankcase at idle and part throttle a bad thing? going to shorten the engines life.. what?

the pcv does jack at > or = 0 manifold pressure so it cant be hurting performance??? right?

This is old information, but I assume it's still valid. One of the side effects of a PCV system is it keeps a flow of fresh air circulating through the crankcase. This removes the blow-by and keeps the oil from picking up the fuel it contains. It also keeps the inside of the engine cleaner. Even if you put the filters on to prevent problems with crancase pressure I'd leave the PCV hooked up and put a clear filter in-line to trap the oil or come up with another way to keep a flow of clean air through the crankcase.

i didnt put the filters on to relieve crankcase pressure, i did it to try to lessen the adverse effects of the sh!tty pcv system.

so then the agreement is that my oil will get dirty from passed gas and exhaust. if i change my oil every 3k would this accumulate enough to be a problem>

i still draw a slight vaccum from the port in front of the throttle body when im on the throttle and air is passing over the hole.

after a hundred miles i pulled the lid/etc off and the intake looks to be almost dry now, just an oil residue, not wet.. not shiny anymore, just a satin look to it..

i think its working for me so far
